Available for the first time ever in Welsh in a translation by Hobbit translator Adam Pearce, Nineteen Eighty-Four is George Orwell's disturbing science fiction about a bleak future under totalitarianism.

George Orwell, the pen name of Eric Arthur Blair (1903-1950) was a journalist, poet and essayist but is best known today as one of the most influential novelists of the twentieth century. His work typically features strong social commentary and criticism of the totalitarian trends of his age, which remain extremely relevant today. His best known novels, Animal Farm and Nineteen Eighty-Four, are among the most popular novels in any language.

Originally published in 1948, Nineteen Eight-Four may well be the most famous example ever of dystopian fiction and it introduced new terms to the English language like Big Brother, Doublethink, Thought Police and Orwellian. 

Please note: We have two different versions of Mil Naw Wyth Deg Pedwar available: a cheaper paperback version in the Clasuron Byd series, and a hardcover "Deluxe" edition. Both versions contain the full translation into Welsh of Orwell's novel including the appendix "Egwyddorion y Newyddiaith (The Principles of Newspeak)" Orwell wrote himself. 

The hardcover deluxe edition also features additional exclusive content not available in the paperback or ebook in the form of illustrated title pages for the three parts of the novel, an introduction by translator Adam Pearce and a 3-way Newspeak glossary not included in the paperback. It also includes larger page size (9"x6" versus 8"x5" for the Paperback), larger font for all text included, and the full crop of Rowynn Ellis's cover art on the dust jacket.
